Kangana Ranaut clarifies: Never ate beef

As she delves into the realm of politics, Kangana Ranaut is raising her voice, running for the Lok Sabha seat in Mandi of Himachal Pradesh

Amid swirling speculations, Kangana Ranaut addressed the issue on Twitter, firmly refuting accusations of consuming beef. Highlighting her dedication to a yogic and Ayurvedic way of life, she expressed her pride in her Hindu heritage. This statement comes in response to the misinterpretation of an old tweet that recently resurfaced.

“I don’t consume beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that completely baseless rumours are being spread about me, I have been advocating and promoting yogic and Ayurvedic way of life for decades now such tactics won’t work to tarnish my image. My people know me and they know that I am a proud Hindu and nothing can ever mislead them, Jai Shri Ram,” the actress-turned-politician wrote.

The yogic lifestyle of Ranaut was mentioned in the previous tweet, but it was mistakenly interpreted as promoting the consumption of beef.

The tweet read: “There is nothing wrong with eating beef or eating any other meat. It’s not about religion! It’s not a hidden fact that Kangana turned vegetarian 8 years ago and chose to be a yogi. She still doesn’t believe in just one religion. On the contrary, her brother eats meat.”

The most recent social media post by Ranaut, who has been subject to criticism since her acting days for being fickle and now because she is in politics, debunked such ideas, reaffirming her commitment to vegetarianism and her Hindu beliefs. As she delves into the realm of politics, Ranaut is raising her voice, running for the Lok Sabha seat in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Looking back on her path, Kangana emphasized the challenges she faced in the entertainment industry, proud of her origins despite encountering prejudice.

In her political pursuits, Ranaut remains dedicated to her film projects, including ‘Emergency,’ a movie depicting the life of Indira Gandhi, which she is also directing. Ranaut’s firm rejection of gossip demonstrates her unwavering loyalty to her convictions and values.

Ranaut is set to appear in the upcoming film Emergency. In addition to starring in it, she is also taking on the role of director for this movie, which revolves around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Hindus who consume meat typically differentiate between beef and other types of meat. Cattle are highly respected in Hinduism, leading most followers to abstain from consuming meat derived from these animals. Domestic cattle are often regarded as integral members of their owners’ households. However, in certain regions of India, Hindus do partake in buffalo meat. In Nepal, Hindus enjoy Sukuti, a type of dried meat prepared from buffalo, lamb, or goat meat.
